Our client is a venture-backed startup based in San Francisco that is revolutionizing the corporate events industry through an AI-powered platform. By automating the complexities of venue sourcing and vendor negotiations, the organization enables teams to connect in person more efficiently than ever before. Having already executed global events for some of the world’s most recognizable technology companies, our client is now scaling its engineering team to push the boundaries of autonomous AI workflows and full-stack innovation.

This role is designed for a founding-level Software Engineer who thrives in a "zero-to-one" environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and scaling the systems that automate event planning end-to-end, moving beyond simple automation to create a seamless, user-centric experience. This position offers high ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to influence the core technical architecture and product direction from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Own the full technical stack, utilizing React, TypeScript, Next.js, and a backend composed of Node and Python.
• Feature Velocity: Ship high-quality features rapidly, translating real-world customer needs into functional, scalable code.
• AI Integration: Build and scale the AI systems that power the core product, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Technical Strategy: Make key architectural decisions and influence the long-term product roadmap.
• Culture Building: Help shape the engineering culture, tool selection, and internal processes as an early member of the team.
• Product Direction: Work closely with the founders to identify automation opportunities and validate technical solutions against user feedback.

Requirements

• Production Experience: Proven track record of building and shipping full-stack products from concept to deployment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL, modern web frameworks, and the ability to work across the frontend and backend.
• Product Intuition: A deep interest in user experience and the ability to make technical decisions that benefit the end-user.
• Startup Agility: A preference for moving fast, learning quickly, and taking proactive initiative in an ambiguous environment.
• Location: This is an in-person role based in San Francisco.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying AI/LLM tools in a production environment.
• A strong eye for UI/UX design and implementation.
• Prior experience in "zero-to-one" startup environments.
