Senior Blockchain Security Engineer

Employment: Full-time via MLabs

Engagement: Contracted to a UAE-based enterprise blockchain / fintech client

Location: Remote (Eastern Europe / MENA / India preferred)

Job Description

MLabs is hiring a Senior Blockchain Security Engineer to support a large-scale blockchain and financial technology program for a UAE-based enterprise client.

You will be responsible for securing smart contracts, blockchain integrations, and protocol-level components within a custom enterprise blockchain ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in smart contract vulnerabilities, secure architecture design, and threat modeling in decentralized systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience auditing smart contracts and identifying vulnerabilities in production blockchain environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews and audits of smart contracts and blockchain components
• Identify, document, and mitigate vulnerabilities in decentralized systems
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments
• Collaborate with smart contract, protocol, and backend teams to improve security posture
• Implement secure development standards and best practices
• Support incident response and vulnerability remediation
• Contribute to security documentation and review processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering or security engineering experience
• Strong experience auditing Solidity smart contracts
• Deep understanding of common blockchain vulnerabilities (reentrancy, overflow, access control, front-running, etc.)
• Experience with security analysis tools (e.g., Slither, Mythril, Foundry, etc.)
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture and transaction lifecycle
• Experience working in production blockchain environments

Preferred

• Experience participating in formal smart contract audits
• Experience with Layer-1 or Layer-2 security
• Experience in fintech or regulated environments
• Background in application security or penetration testing
• Experience working in distributed remote teams
