Compensation: $160K - $300K

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a highly proficient team of core engineers dedicated to reengineering blockchain infrastructure from first principles. Their mission is to make global digital markets as precise and dependable as physical systems, delivering deterministic execution, guaranteed inclusion, and low-latency performance. They are seeking an Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to lead critical engineering efforts that drive the performance and scalability of next-generation distributed systems. You will join a team that values a coherent system design philosophy and frequently engages in rigorous architecture discussions, design specs, and code reviews. They ship quality code quickly and often, focusing on innovations that move the industry forward.

You will be responsible for the full-stack operational architecture, from bare metal to application interfaces. Your work will directly solve foundational failures in decentralized networks, ensuring high-performance compute and coordinated execution under extreme pressure.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead critical engineering efforts to drive the performance and scalability of distributed systems built on advanced Layer 1 and Layer 2 extensions (e.g., Solana ecosystem).
  • Drive architectural decisions and contribute to the technical and product roadmap within an open and flat structure.
  • Engage in Rust systems programming, infrastructure architecture (e.g., Kubernetes), and operational scripting across multiple languages.
  • Maintain and enhance infrastructure using their core stack: AWS/GCP, Terraform/Terragrunt, Prometheus/Thanos, and FluxCD.
  • Ship high-quality code and uphold rigorous software best practices in a dynamic environment.

Their Core Stack:

  • Infrastructure: AWS/GCP + bare metal, Kubernetes, Terraform/Terragrunt, Prometheus/Thanos, Helm, HashiCorp Vault, FluxCD.
  • Languages: Rust, Golang, Typescript, PostgreSQL.
  • Smart Contracts: Anchor, Solana Program Library (SPL).

Requirements

Our client is looking for an exceptional engineer deeply motivated by complex core infrastructure challenges, who can hit the ground running with a full-stack operational understanding.

  • Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, preferably within high-standard fintech, data, cloud, or DevOps environments.
  • DevOps/SRE Mastery: Strong fundamentals in DevOps/SRE practices (GitOps, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.).
  • Blockchain Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Solana ecosystem and, ideally, experience with Miner Extractable Value (MEV) on Solana or Ethereum.
  • Operational Readiness: Ability to immediately manage cluster health, execute Flux deployments, and provide reliable validator support.
  • Security Practices: Experience with infrastructure and data security practices, including KMS and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Software Skills: Strong software development skills (coding and architecture) are a huge plus, as custom operations will require coding knowledge of platform specifics.
  • Communication: Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience operating validators on distributed networks.
  • Active engagement with the blockchain security research community (open-source contributions, publications, or speaking).

Benefits

They offer a high-autonomy, remote-first environment where individual ownership and impact are highly rewarded.

  • Competitive Compensation: Compensation packages based on ongoing market analysis, including an equity/token plan.
  • Flexible Work: Remote-first culture with flexible hours—self-initiative and independence are highly valued.
  • High-Impact Team: Work with highly talented engineers who are passionate about building the most technically ambitious projects in Web3.
  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for rapid professional and technical growth within a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
