Our client is a high-growth fintech startup building a streamlined trading application designed to bridge the gap between complex on-chain assets and everyday users. The platform provides instant access to digital assets without the friction of external wallets or bridges, while offering advanced social trading features and institutional-grade execution data.

The engineering team is composed of high-caliber, crypto-native professionals with backgrounds from industry leaders such as dYdX, Uniswap, and OpenSea. Following a recent move to a spacious new office in Soho, the organization is looking for a Staff Trading Infrastructure Engineer to spearhead the evolution of their trading infrastructure. This role is focused on the technical frontier of transaction speed, MEV prevention, and liquidity routing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Optimization: Lead the development and overhaul of transaction landing infrastructure to ensure industry-leading speed and reliability.
  • Routing & Solvers: Design and implement proprietary routing systems and cross-chain solvers to optimize swap efficiency for users.
  • Feature Development: Architect and deploy advanced trading functionalities, including cross-chain limit orders and custom gas sponsorship infrastructure.
  • Strategic Planning: Autonomously identify bottlenecks in current trading flows and execute technical roadmaps to maintain a competitive edge in a multichain environment.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for a lean team of frontend and backend engineers, maintaining high standards for code quality and performance.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally operating at a Staff level or higher.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of blockchain internals, specifically regarding how to land transactions in highly competitive environments.
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong experience with Solana is highly preferred, though exceptional candidates with deep expertise in other major ecosystems will be considered.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to manage the entire lifecycle of complex infrastructure projects—from conceptualization to deployment—with minimal supervision.
  • Location: Ability to work in-person at the client's Soho office in New York City. The organization maintains a strong in-person culture to foster collaboration and rapid iteration.
  • Mindset: A curious, crypto-native approach with a genuine interest in the future of multichain interoperability.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Highly competitive salary and equity packages.
  • Prime Location: Modern, spacious office located in the heart of Soho, NYC.
  • High-Impact Environment: Opportunity to work alongside a small, elite team of engineers from top-tier crypto protocols.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech: Direct involvement in shaping the infrastructure of a next-generation trading platform.
