Are you a strategic HR leader who believes that people are the heart of a successful organisation? Our clients are seeking a People Services Director to lead their Human Resources department and align their workforce initiatives with their mission of providing exceptional care to their community.


As a key leader in one of Eastern Washington’s largest multi-speciality healthcare groups, you will direct all departmental activities and resources. Your goal will be to foster an environment of professional growth while ensuring their clients operations meet clinical, administrative, and legal standards.


What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement departmental goals and standards consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Operational Oversight: Direct departmental operations, including service level determination, information technologies, and complaint management.
  • Talent Management: Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, and continuing education.
  • Financial Stewardship: Prepare and monitor departmental budgets to ensure compliance with allocated funding.
  • Compliance & Excellence: Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure the department remains focused on its vital role in the continuum of care.
  • Team Development: Manage, train, and develop staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional excellence.



Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must bring a blend of high-level emotional intelligence and technical HR expertise.

  • Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Proven track record in managing the work of others, including planning, scheduling, and administering corrective actions.
  • Technical Skills: * Moderate to advanced computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, data entry, and presentations).
  • Strong mathematical skills for budgeting, rates, and ratios.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex information to management and resolve delicate situations through persuasion and motivation.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to navigate complex, varied business problems using independent judgment and functional expertise.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and work in a hospital environment where safety precautions are standard.
