Our client is the premier accelerator for founders within the decentralized technology and digital asset space. Since 2020, the organization has backed over 300 startups—collectively valued at over $10B—positioning itself as a central pillar in the evolution of the global startup ecosystem.


The organization is seeking a high-agency Software Engineer to join an elite, in-house engineering team. This individual will work directly with the Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for owning product features from initial requirement definition through to production. The ideal candidate is a product-minded builder who excels in high-trust, high-performance environments and possesses the ability to turn ambiguous problems into polished software without the need for dedicated project management or design oversight.

This role is based in New York City. Relocation to NYC is a non-negotiable requirement for this position to ensure close collaboration with founders and the core leadership team.


Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Product Ownership: Lead the entire product lifecycle including discovery, definition, design/UX, implementation, launch, and subsequent iterations.
  • Full-Stack Development: Write production-grade TypeScript across the stack, utilizing React and Next.js on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.
  • Internal Tooling: Build and maintain bespoke internal tools designed to increase the operational velocity of the investment and acceleration teams.
  • UI/UX Craftsmanship: Develop polished user interfaces using React and an internal component library, contributing new patterns and components back to the core system.
  • Integration & Data Management: Integrate third-party APIs for authentication, payments, and communications while managing data models, caching strategies, and system performance.
  • Engineering Excellence: Maintain a high bar for code quality through rigorous code reviews, robust CI/CD practices, and a focus on reliability and accessibility.
  • AI Integration: Leverage modern AI tools to accelerate development cycles and improve software delivery.



Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Familiarity with Next.js and modern databases (e.g., Postgres/Prisma) is highly preferred.
  • Product Intuition: A strong "product sense" with the ability to sketch user flows or lightweight wireframes independently.
  • High Agency: An entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset with a strong ownership bias. The candidate must be comfortable setting their own priorities and moving at a rapid pace.

  • Location: Current residence in or willingness to relocate to New York City is mandatory.

  • Previous experience as a founder or early employee at a VC-backed startup.
  • Background at category-defining technology companies (e.g., Meta, Stripe, OpenAI).
  • Evidence of exceptional ability in competitive fields, such as high-level gaming/esports, Math/Physics Olympiads, or elite athletics.

  1. Initial Interview: Introductory session with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
  2. Technical Evaluation: A deep-dive technical interview with the CTO.
  3. Culture Fit: A behavioral interview with the Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer (CPO).
  4. Product Interview: A session focused on product thinking and strategy with the Co-Founder & CPO.
  5. Final Round: A comprehensive three-way interview with the executive leadership team.
