Our client is a high-growth, open-source infrastructure provider dedicated to the advancement of AI agents and web-based applications. By developing sophisticated browser infrastructure, the organization enables developers to deploy AI products that interact seamlessly with the web via a proprietary Sessions API.


Following a period of exponential growth in 2025 driven by a robust open-source community and word-of-mouth adoption, our client is expanding its talent-dense team. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of human-internet interaction by building the frameworks, developer tools, and benchmarks that make autonomous web browsing possible for AI.


The Role: Member of Technical Staff (Applied AI)

The Senior Applied AI Engineer will play a pivotal role in defining how AI agents navigate the web. This individual will focus on building open-source frameworks and high-impact demos, while simultaneously refining the developer experience to ensure the platform remains indispensable for AI engineers.



Key Responsibilities

  • Framework Development: Build and maintain open-source tools and libraries that simplify the integration of AI agents with browser environments.
  • Performance Benchmarking: Design and implement evaluation frameworks to measure the reliability and efficiency of browser-based AI tasks.
  • Product Iteration: Move fluidly between frontend, backend, and model integration to ship full-stack features end-to-end.
  • Technical Advocacy: Produce high-quality technical documentation and posts that unpack complex engineering challenges and learnings.
  • Customer Collaboration: Act as a technical partner for early adopters to ensure successful implementation of the platform's infrastructure.


Requirements

  • Engineering Excellence: 4+ years of experience writing high-quality, production-grade code.
  • AI-Native Workflow: A heavy user of AI agents within a day-to-day coding environment.
  • Full-Stack Capability: Proven experience shipping product features from design through to model integration.
  • Developer Focus: A strong interest in developer tooling and clear opinions on developer ergonomics and API design.
  • Communication: Exceptional technical writing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Product Sense: Strong intuition for product-market fit and the ability to prioritize features that drive developer value.
  • Autonomy: The ability to thrive in a self-directed, highly autonomous work environment.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: $140,000 – $260,000

Interview Process

The following stages outline the standard evaluation process for this position:

  1. Initial Screening: A 30-minute introductory call with a Co-Founder.
  2. Leadership Interview: A technical and strategic discussion with the CEO.
  3. Technical Assessment: A coding-centric interview conducted by a Founding Engineer.
  4. Final Stage: A full-day onsite session to meet the broader team and dive deep into technical challenges.
