About the Role

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to join a high-growth team building infrastructure at the intersection of blockchain technology, digital payments, and financial services.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges involving smart contracts, distributed systems, and cross-chain technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable solutions that support the movement of digital assets across multiple blockchain ecosystems.

Working within a fast-paced, highly technical environment, you will have significant ownership from day one and the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of next-generation financial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production software across the platform stack
• Develop and maintain smart contracts across multiple blockchain virtual machine environments
• Deliver new blockchain integrations and partner-driven functionality
• Build and operate scalable backend services supporting blockchain infrastructure
• Own features throughout the full development lifecycle, from design through to production
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and code reviews
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise production systems
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver against key milestones and deadlines

Requirements

Essential

• 2+ years of experience building production systems within Web3 environments
• Proven experience deploying smart contracts to production
• Strong knowledge of multiple virtual machine ecosystems, including EVM and at least one of SVM, TVM, or another alternative VM
• Strong TypeScript and Rust development experience
• Experience operating distributed systems in production environments
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker
• Experience delivering projects with external stakeholders or partner-facing deadlines
• Excellent written communication skills and experience working within distributed teams

Desirable

• Experience with cross-chain protocols, interoperability solutions, or bridge technologies
• Experience integrating new blockchain networks end-to-end
• Knowledge of stablecoins, digital payments, or DeFi ecosystems
• Familiarity with intent-based or solver-based architectures
• Open-source contributions within blockchain or infrastructure projects
• Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment

Candidate Profile

Our client is looking for someone who has built and scaled production software in a fast-moving startup environment, ideally within crypto, DeFi, payments, or fintech. You should be comfortable working across complex systems, have strong TypeScript and backend engineering expertise, and understand the challenges of scaling infrastructure as adoption grows.
