Compensation: $175K - $225K

Our client is a venture-backed financial technology firm on a mission to transform the global movement of money. By building a full-service platform for the issuance, management, and integration of stablecoins, the organization aims to provide a faster, more efficient, and more transparent financial fabric. The platform makes digital dollars programmable, composable, and ubiquitous, serving as foundational infrastructure for developers, fintechs, and institutions alike.

The engineering team combines the discipline of high-performance finance with the creative agility of a crypto-native startup. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, the successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of features and products across the entire stack—from user interfaces to robust backend infrastructure. This role requires an engineer with strong product taste, a bias toward MVP thinking, and the ability to navigate complex backend systems and API designs with equal proficiency. This is a remote-first position. Candidates must be able to maintain a majority overlap with US Eastern Time (ET) business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Development: Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of features across the full stack (TypeScript, React, Node.js, and REST APIs).
  • Product Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, operations, and finance teams to gather requirements, prototype rapidly, and ship production-ready code.
  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain and scale reliable backend systems using Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • External Integration: Collaborate directly with external partners and customers on technical integrations and iterative feature development.
  • Quality & Standards: Uphold high standards for clean code, automated testing, and comprehensive API documentation.
  • System Ownership: Manage the entire lifecycle of a feature, from the initial prototype through launch, monitoring, and future iterations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional fullstack development experience.
  • 3+ years of expertise in TypeScript/Node.js and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
  • Fluency with relational databases and SQL.
  • Proven track record of shipping production systems with high uptime and low maintenance burdens.
  • Deep understanding of API design, versioning, and modern authentication patterns.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in remote, asynchronous environments.
  • A strong "MVP mindset"—the ability to scope milestones, learn from deployments, and iterate quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
  • Background in designing and operating event-driven architectures.
  • Technical expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Hands-on experience in the blockchain/crypto space (e.g., on-chain libraries, blockchain infrastructure, or node software like Geth or Solana validators).
  • Experience building customer-facing financial tools or products.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to build foundational infrastructure for the future of global finance.
  • Engagement with a high-performance, ego-free team of mission-driven builders.
  • A culture that values clear thinking, extreme ownership, and high-velocity decision-making.
  • Competitive compensation and the ability to work remotely within supported time zones.

Interview Process

  1. Hiring Manager Interview: An initial discussion with the Head of Engineering to review background, technical skillset, and alignment with the organization’s engineering culture.
  2. Technical Assessment (Coding): A practical coding session focused on problem-solving and implementation with the Head of Engineering and CTO.
  3. Systems Design Assessment: A deep dive into architectural thinking and system scalability with the engineering leadership team.
  4. Final Interview: A concluding conversation to discuss expectations, role specifics, and compensation.
