Compensation:  $175K - $225K

The Senior Backend Engineer will play a pivotal role in accelerating the delivery of both internal tools and customer-facing products that serve developers, fintechs, and global institutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Service Development: Design, build, and operate robust backend services with a relentless focus on reliability, performance, and developer experience.
  • Technical Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of critical systems, from initial architectural design to deployment and long-term operational excellence.
  • Standards & Mentorship: Shape technical standards across the organization, advocating for clean code principles and comprehensive automated testing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-impact features in an asynchronous, remote-first environment.
  • System Observability: Utilize modern monitoring and orchestration tools to ensure high uptime and minimal maintenance burdens for all production systems.



Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend service development.
  • Technical Stack: 3+ years of expertise in TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Database Proficiency: Fluency with relational databases and SQL.
  • Operational Excellence: A proven track record of shipping production-grade systems with high uptime and reliability.
  • Engineering Rigor: A strong commitment to clean code architecture and automated testing frameworks.
  • Architecture: Deep understanding of API design, versioning, documentation, and modern authentication patterns.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills suitable for a collaborative, remote-first team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ecosystem Experience: Direct experience in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Domain Expertise: Experience integrating with or interacting with blockchain node software (e.g., Geth, Solana validators).
  • Optimization: Familiarity with performance profiling, latency reduction, and service-level adherence (SLAs).
  • System Design: Background in designing and operating event-driven architectures.

Interview Process

  1. Hiring Manager Interview: A call with the Head of Engineering to discuss professional background, technical skillset, and alignment with the stablecoin ecosystem.
  2. Technical Interview: A coding assessment conducted by the Head of Engineering and the CTO.
  3. Systems Design Assessment: A deep-dive session into architectural thinking and system design with the Head of Engineering and the CTO.
  4. Final Interview: A wrap-up discussion regarding role expectations, compensation, and long-term objectives.
