Our client is a pioneering financial technology firm developing next-generation decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity infrastructure on the Solana blockchain. By addressing the capital inefficiencies of traditional over-collateralized lending, the organization has developed a solution that enables under-collateralized borrowing, programmable margin accounts, and composable trading strategies. This unified platform is designed to unlock significant capital efficiency and reduce risk, making advanced DeFi strategies more accessible and powerful for a global user base.

The organization is seeking a Lead/Senior Front-End Engineer to serve as a foundational member of the engineering team. This individual will own and drive the frontend development of the platform, shaping the product's user experience, technical architecture, and frontend engineering culture. As the primary authority for frontend initiatives, the successful candidate will lead the development of complex dashboards, margin accounts, and advanced DeFi integrations while establishing the standards for code quality and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Frontend Vision and Architecture: Define the high-level architecture, select appropriate frameworks, and establish coding standards to ensure a scalable and maintainable React/TypeScript environment.
  • Core Product Development: Build and ship high-performance UI/UX features, including margin dashboards, restaking flows, and "Recipe" based composable strategies.
  • Deep Solana Integration: Implement and manage Solana-specific technical requirements, including wallet adapters, complex transaction flows, and real-time on-chain data visualizations.
  • User Experience Optimization: Create responsive, real-time interfaces that maintain high performance under the data-heavy demands of active DeFi trading.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with backend, design, and product teams to define feature requirements and deliver on the technical roadmap.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Foster engineering excellence through code reviews and mentorship, guiding future frontend hires as the organization scales.

Requirements

  • Frontend Expertise: Extensive experience building and shipping production-grade frontends using React and TypeScript.
  • Solana Proficiency: Proven expertise in the Solana ecosystem, including deep knowledge of web3 libraries, transaction lifecycle management, and wallet integrations.
  • Blockchain UI Experience: Demonstrated experience managing real-time data streams, complex state management, and robust error handling in blockchain-based user interfaces.
  • Leadership Track Record: A history of leading technical projects or teams with direct ownership over architecture and delivery outcomes.
  • Communication: Exceptional collaborative skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DeFi Knowledge: Familiarity with DeFi protocols, margin trading mechanics, or restaking systems.
  • Startup Background: Prior experience as a founding engineer or early employee at a technology startup.
  • Open Source: Contributions to open-source projects within the Solana or DeFi ecosystems.

Benefits

  • Foundational Impact: The opportunity to shape the frontend culture and architecture of a leading DeFi protocol.
  • Technical Challenge: Solving complex capital efficiency problems on one of the fastest blockchains in existence.
  • Compensation: A competitive package consisting of a Base Salary plus Equity/Tokens.
  • Growth: A leadership path within a high-growth organization backed by a mission-driven team.

Interview Process

  1. Founder / CEO Interview (45 Minutes): An initial conversation focused on career goals, motivations, and high-level alignment with the organization's mission.
  2. Technical Interview (60 Minutes): A practical assessment of problem-solving abilities, coding exercises, and a deep dive into past technical decisions and architectural approaches.
  3. Behavioral Interview & Reference Checks: Validation of work style, reliability, and past performance through discussions with professional references.
  4. Group "Mesh" Interview (45 Minutes): An interpersonal assessment to determine how well the candidate aligns with the team's values, communication style, and dynamics.
  5. Final Alignment (30 Minutes): A concluding session to ensure mutual clarity on expectations, offer details, and final next steps.
