Compensation: Competitive Compensation

We are hiring on behalf of our client who is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) infrastructure firm specializing in multi-chain ERC-4626 vault solutions for institutional capital. With a track record of processing over $11 billion across multiple chains, the organization operates the foundational vault stack for an expanding roster of curators, exchanges, and asset issuers.

The organization is seeking a Senior Vault Operations Manager to own the financial operations layer across its comprehensive vault range. This is a senior, individual-contributor role requiring high-level financial judgment. The successful candidate will oversee Net Asset Value (NAV) methodology, P&L attribution, financial reporting, strategy risk policy, and withdrawal mechanics. While working closely with engineering, smart contract, and curator teams, this individual will hold ultimate responsibility for the financial integrity of the vaults.

Key Responsibilities

  • NAV and P&L Ownership: Define the methodology for NAV calculations and configure monitoring tools to attribute performance accurately to its sources.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce internal and LP-facing reports, including performance attribution, exposure breakdowns, and NAV reconciliations.
  • Operational Integrity: Ensure vaults function correctly on a daily basis; monitor withdrawal executions, liquidity availability, and data pipeline reconciliation.
  • Strategy Risk Policies: Define and communicate risk policies—including exposure limits, drawdown thresholds, and concentration caps—for engineering teams to implement via automation.
  • Withdrawal Cycle Management: Configure withdrawal queue cadences and manage liquidity buffers across the entire vault range.
  • Vendor and Cost Management: Manage operational relationships with curators, custodians, and data providers while maintaining a precise view of the cost stack (gas, infrastructure, and strategy fees).
  • New Vault Onboarding: Develop and execute the operational playbook for launching new vaults and onboarding curators.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5–10 years of experience in Traditional Finance (TradFi) fund operations, with recent experience in a crypto-native environment (e.g., fund, custodian, or yield protocol).
  • Fund Operations Track Record: Proven ability to produce accurate financial reporting for NAV, P&L, and fees, including setting up monitoring systems from the ground up.
  • DeFi Fluency: A hard requirement for deep knowledge of ERC-4626 vault mechanics, oracle-based pricing, asynchronous withdrawal queues, and multi-sig custody.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with major DeFi venues such as Aave, Morpho, Pendle, and Uniswap.
  • P&L Attribution: Experience building or operating monitoring tools that attribute strategy returns to on-chain sources and identifying alpha vs. leakage.
  • Communication: Excellent written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to document complex processes for engineering and business development teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to stablecoin ecosystems, experience with Pendle PT/YT mechanics, multi-chain operational experience (LayerZero/bridges), or a background in institutional regulatory frameworks (SEC, CIMA, FCA).

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Highly competitive base compensation.
  • Incentives: Token compensation package.
  • Impact: Opportunity to shape the financial operations of a high-volume institutional DeFi protocol.

Interview Process

  1. Hiring Manager Interview: Initial technical and experience screen.
  2. Group Interview: Collaborative session with cross-functional team members.
  3. Hiring Manager Interview: Deep dive into operational philosophy and P&L attribution.
  4. Founder / CEO Interview: Final alignment on vision and organizational fit.
