We are hiring on behalf of our client in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector who is seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to define and lead the narrative for a groundbreaking market structure. The client is pioneering the first-ever Proprietary Automated Market Maker (Prop AMM) DEX on the Ethereum and EVM L2 ecosystems.


By leveraging advanced modular infrastructure, this platform addresses traditional limitations regarding high storage costs and non-deterministic transaction ordering. The result is a system that protects liquidity providers from toxic order flow while providing end-users with the most competitive prices and tightest spreads on-chain.

The CMO will be responsible for categorizing "Prop AMM on EVM" as a new industry standard and positioning the client’s platform as the dominant leader in this space. Working directly with the CEO, CTO, and CPO, the successful candidate will own the brand, growth loops, and go-to-market strategy for a product designed to outcompete both centralized and decentralized exchanges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Ownership: Design and execute the end-to-end launch strategy, transitioning the platform from alpha phases to full public availability.
  • Brand Strategy: Define and own the core narrative, ensuring the platform is recognized as the default winner in the emerging Prop AMM category.
  • Content & Distribution: Oversee the creation of high-impact launch assets, including technical threads, video content, and live demos.
  • Growth & Campaigns: Develop and scale growth loops and marketing campaigns that drive user acquisition and ecosystem stickiness.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central node between Product, Business Development, Partnerships, and Market Makers to ensure a unified market presence.


Requirements

  • DeFi Expertise: A deep understanding of Ethereum/EVM ecosystems, L2 dynamics, and market-making primitives.
  • Proven Leadership: Experience in a senior marketing or growth role within the Web3 or FinTech sectors, preferably having led a successful protocol or exchange launch.
  • Narrative Building: Exceptional ability to translate complex infrastructure and financial primitives into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives for both retail users and institutional partners.
  • Strategic Execution: Ability to move seamlessly from high-level strategy to hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience working closely with founding teams and technical stakeholders to align product roadmaps with market demand.

Interview Process

  1. Initial Founder Interview: An introductory conversation with the Co-Founder to discuss vision and alignment.
  2. Technical Briefing: A focused discussion with the second Co-Founder regarding the platform’s technical architecture and market positioning.
  3. Final Review: A concluding session with an additional team member to cover finer operational details and final logistics.
